Default vibration through gear lever.

when in 5th or 6th gear, i get a vibration if i just gently rest my hand on the gear lever, its in 6th under power, and 5th on over run.

Any ideas?

2002 Civic type R, 10 500 miles.

of course a shifter is going to have some vibration. it's hooked up to the tranmission. just depends on how much vibration.

Well considering it's at high end 5th and low end 6th, that's pretty damn fast... a little vibration at that speed is normal.

having driven stick all my driving life, i can honestly say it is by far the worst i have ever felt, it is unaffected by speed, if its in 6th it vibes when you accelerate, if its in 5th it vibes when you back off, they get no better or worse with speed..
