Those two statements contradict themselves. Either you know the usefulness of the B20B/Z, or you don't know Hondas. No matter what you do to the two engines, the B20 will always have FAR more torque. Horsepower means nothing if you don't have the torque to back it up.

while this is true, i don't have the time, money or resources for a b20 fellas, it's just not an option for me now...maybe when i graduate from college, but as for now, i just need something that'll work, and will work good for me...i am not saying that a b20 isn't worth the time or effort for the results period, it's just not worth the time or effort for me now...the b18b1 is still an option...so don't give up on me yet fellas, we'll see what i can come up with before the summer catches up to me...

also, just be cause i'm not a newb doesn't mean i know everything, cause i don't, obviously...i will never know everything, and i am always learning...sry about the confusion...

the B16 compression is a little higher than ideal for boost, throw on a 2mm headgasket, or get pistons/rods to reduce compression. You can turbo it stock, but it's touchy.

B18Bs are nice, good price, and they're torquey. And their compression is decent for going turbo.

yeah, i was wondering about the compression of the b16a, it's alot higher than the b18b. if i did go with the b16a should i get stronger rods w/dished pistons? not sure what ima do yet...you guys got me really reconsidering the b18b....the only thing i don't like about it is no vtec...i dunno

Oh, boo hoo, it's doesn't have VTEC.

VTEC is a neat little trick, but far from nessicary. Throw in some Crower 404's and you'll never miss it.
