Default what does the different amount of valves mean?
i seen on a car it has 16 valve.. what does this actually mean... someone please let me know... thanks

That means it has 4 valves per cylinder (if it's a 4cylinder motor), 2 intake, 2 exhaust.

ok.. thanks... would most 4 cylinders have 16 valves? what is m ost common?

Yes most of newer 4 cylinder (as well as 6 cylinders) have 4 vavles per cylinder.
