Default turbo d-series

juss curious how fast of a quarter mile they run... d15b7 greddy turbo, 7lbs of boost, no internals, 92 civic hb weighin about 2200

No internals, huh That must be an interesting engine

But seriously, you have to try it to get accurate times. It depends on too many factors. My guess is mid 14's:thumbup:

Mid to low 14's. That's pretty light if your 2200lb estimate is correct. I did a 14.012 at 8psi weighing in at approx 2573lbs in a 99 EX.

Are you serious? Believe me when I say that not only does VTEC not make a very big difference on an N/A SOHC, but even more so on a FI SOHC. You don't need VTEC when boosting a SOHC.

you dont need vtec for any fi car...its just another strain on the motor

The lack of VTEC is nothing compaired to the lack of the extra 1/10 litre between the D15* and D16*.

You need a special cam grind to make VTEC useful under boost, anyway.

This is VERY true! The D16Y7 and Y8 are exactly the same dimensions on the lower half. The only differences are the head, intake manifold, ECU, and the lettering on your car! :thumbup:

2200 is a lil off i guess.. i weigh 140... car weighs 2178 lbs stock, soo around 2300.. but yeah im think i gonna turbo my car with the money i pull in from xmas and my birthday...:blue:... hopefully it all goes as planned... i really cant wait
