It does serve a purpose to let air flow through your bumper but not for this guy. If it were a full time road racing or autox car then it would help to reduce drag by letting the air flow through the bumper.... but again it's ugly as F***and serves no purpose for this guy.

It's like people who put the big ass wings on their car... WTF do they need down force for?.... Oh that's right for when their hauling ass to the local mini mart to grab some chips and soda for their pimply faced ricer friends they'll have all that down force to hold them through the turns

 

Eh, I've seen worse, much worse.
