d16z6 d16y8 same map sensor????????
I believe all D and B-series engines use the same map sensor but I am not 100% sure. Some motors have a map sensor that mounts on the firewall and are connected to the TB by a short piece of rubber hose while most are just mounted directly to the TB. I believe both the Z6 and Y8 use the same on-TB sensor.
I remember helping a local shop with a swap and the JDM engine they had needed a firewall MAP sensor and they either modified the stock one to work or got one from a 4-door EG LX (I think). Sorry, it's been a few years and I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it worked.

I have a 93 civic 4dr LX and the engine that was in my car used a map sensor on the firewall. The engine I put in had the MAP sensor on the throttle body. I was just told to swap the intake and everything worked fine. And I'm still using the MAP sensor from the firewall.
