Default Just call me Major Malfunction

Alright, so, I thought I would paint my interior. Sounds easy, but its not. When I took out the dash I disconnected the plug the feeds info to my speedometer and gas gauge. So now I got none of that, although this will be an easy fix.

My big problem is the signal/light arm. When I rammed, forced, and struggled to get my dash back into place I realized that I should have removed the bracket that holds up my steering column. I broke off my signal arm. So now to turn on my lights I have to shove a screwdriver into the broken chunks of plastic and turn. not soo bad. To signal is a bitch, I gotta blindly aim my screwdriver in there and push up or down.... not too fun.

If anyone with some electrical know-how, knows how to rig up a few switches to turn on my lights and blinkers, please enlighten me. Otherwise, Im off to the wreckers to find a new steering column box thing.

First rule of working on cars, never force anything.

I'm just wondering why you feel the need to tell everyone how badly you messed up your car? :dunno:

Well, I figured maybe someone else made this mistake and/or knows what wires to clip. Im sure I can rig up some switches to fix this delema.

Plus, no one knows me, and I dont know anyone so the shame kinda disipates.

how about your buy a new or used signal arm? Last thing I would want to do is put un-needed switches in my car.

yup, I am a dumbass, but thats how you learn I guess.

I painted the interior cream and white to match my future pearl-cream w/ sparkles paintjob.

Anyways, I guess im off to honda to order a new signal arm. I didnt know you could buy replacement.

thanks for you help and comments (incompassionate, but funny as they were)
