I dunno for sure, but my GSR will be running about 12:1 after I rebuild. I will be taking it to a Hondata tuner as soon as the rebuild is done though. I've been told that as long as I get it tuned then it will be fine...

It depends on tuning My streetbike is 13.5 to 1 and it will run on 93 pump.

I will be a lil more specific....I just wanted to see with Hondata, what would be the most compression for a b16a. Also with the higher compression what else would I need, new head studs? I know a good head gasket. I wanna build my coupe b16 all motor cause I got a turbo 90 hb with ef9 conversion project planned for this summer

I will take a guess........ probably 12.5:1 maybe 13:1 if tuned right and yes you need new studs and a good head gasket.

I know a guy that runs OEM studs and OEM head gasket on a 12.5:1 ls/vtec and he hasn't had any problems. But if it were me I would atleast get aftermarket studs.

I've always been told anything over 11.5:1 is pushing it on unleaded pump gas, although I have heard of people pulling off 12:1 and higher.
