Ecu~?~
ok i need some help. the motor i have is a d16y8 and im about to buy a ECU for $50 shipped and its a p2p. my friend told me to get a p28. should i get the p2p ecu or the p28? and will the p2p ecu work the same as the p28? let me know soon because im about to send the money out.
p2p is the obd2 ex ecu
p28 is the obd1 ex/si ecu
if you get the p2p it is the same one that you already have
if you get the p28 you will need an obd1 coversion harness
p28 is recommended for tuning because it isnt as picky and a hassle as obd2, you can run test pipes, high flow cats (no 2ndary o2 sensor needed then) hondata, programs (skunk2,mugen,spoon,etc) that can totally change the way the car runs
p2p arent anything special...in fact...I hate them

do whatever you want....but, why buy 2?
get a p28 and an obd1 conversion harness and save $ in the long run.
What are your plans though? If you just want to drive it and call it done, get the p2p because its cheaper. But if youre planning on doing some modding get the p28 (more expensive but price is justification)
