ANYBODY EVER CONSIDER FABRICATING THIS BADBOY INTO A 92-95 CIVIC??

 

I thought about it, but then I'd rather have a CL/TL-S.

 

we have one of these CL's in the shop right now and I was checking everything out. I would maybe have to notch the frame because the engine and tranny together are wider.definately would have to make axels. the height would be the biggest factor would either have to have the engine hang under alittle or use a cowl hood. the cl engine sits on a cradle which bolts to the frame and all suspension is attached. I could use my existing eg suspension but would have to upgrade the springs and weld in cross members to support the engine mounts. I have a 95 coupe i can chop up and I want to go all out on it. these motors are not in high demand so,they arev accually cheaper than the 4cyl GSR.

I highly doubt a 3.2 CL/TL motor is cheaper than a GSR motor.

With the money you spend on custom fab'ing everything, you can do a CRVTEC turbo setup and make way more power and torque.

 

some guy got the motor in his del sol not sure if it runs or not.

Isn't there more space in a EK or teggy to do that?

 

That's not something I would ever try, but it's probably easier then a RWD conversion. :chuckles:
