long story short, if you have a civic, it has struts, and shocks will not work

shocks dampen road impacts, struts keep your car glued to the ground

k if my STRUTS are blown out ...is it possible it will make squeaky noises when the car goes up n down

yes,it can.but the whole struts/shock thing has been talked about for a while.so i would just say your dampers

I agree.

Someone should call tokico and ask them what the differences are between shocks and struts.

From what I understand, we technically have shocks, not struts. Anyways, this debate has been covered so search to find what others have said about it.

Not necessarily. They will be very bouncy if they are blown.

so what is so squeaky? if i push on my ride to make it go up n down, all four sides squeak big time...when i took my car to some shop the guy said all my cv things r ****ed up.

my front DAMPERS were blown on the front of my 95 civic and they didnt squeak just a very bouncy ride.
