Default Which Header is better?

Hey there everyone,

I have a 2000 Civic EX coupe (5-speed), which is pretty much stock except for an AEM short ram intake. I am looking to put a DC sports header but have not been able to decide between a
"4 into 1" and a "4 to 2 to 1". Both look cool, but I haven't seen dyno charts to be able to compare. I am looking for more mid range power, but don't want to lose on the bottom end.

Can anyone who has tried one of these headers please comment on your experience with the header?
And also, which one do you think would be better for this near stock D16Y8 engine?

Thanks for your help!

4-2-1 will help more in the midrange than a 4-1. performance gains are minimal between the two.

4-1 is going to be more top end power

also look at the design of the header. if the runners bend too early off the flange it will decrease that "after shift" power. DC's runner come off the flange about a good 3-4" then start to bend, this will give you better midrange. as for some other companies their runner bend right off the flange look out for those ones.

Thanks for the help, guys. Looks like 4-2-1 might be the better choice after all, as this is a simple daily driven car (as opposed to an all-out race car).

Thanks again for the advice! Hmmm, now all I have to do is just make up my mind between ceramic vs stainless!!!
