led's in air vents
ok, i ordered a set of 4 led's from ebay and what im planin on doin is wiring them to an on/off switch and puttin the switch in those little slots next to the e-brake and puttin the led's in the air vents and such. my question is about wiring the leds, how should i go about doing it? any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks!!
bring a + wire from the battery to the switch, ground the switch as well. Ground the LEDs somewhere, and bring the + wire from the switch to the LED...
thats the jist of it...I think...its late :eh: if I missed anything, feel free to add

What do you want to wire it up to?

i dont really know what i should wire it up too, thats why i'm asking? what can i ground to? would cutting into the radio ground be Ok or no? I have a 94 Civic EX if it helps. also, can i wire in a fuse somewhere along the line or would it not really matter? thanks for the help
think about what you want to wire it up to..... do you want to put it on a switch? or just when you turn something on, the LEDs come on too. fuse wouldn't matter on something so low drain imo.... cuz you have fuses connected to the wires that you are tapping into...
id wire it to the cig lighter, lots of power going to waste normally, so, thats proly best.
make sure those LEDs are 12v. i buy usually 5v leds and have to use a resistor to pull the voltage down a bit.

I will be doing the same thing soon...here's what I am doing:
Get one of those add-a-fuse kits (even Kmart has them) and hook the lights up to the in-car fuse box. You can mount the switch anywhere you want. Just make sure you use a good ground. I prefer the in-car fuse box because the lights can't be on without the ignition in the on/start position so they won't drain the battery inadvertently. I don't know if wiring them in series or parallel will have any effect, I haven't sat down to figure that out yet. Once my suspension is done, this is the next project so I'll have better answers then. Hope this helped a little bit. Good luck, any questions/concerns/better solutions more than welcome.
