Engine bay is rather rusty not greasy... anything I can or should do? Looks like the engine is oxidizing (white stuff on it, mayble salt) spray WD-40 on it?

 

That's just the aluminum corroding, no big deal. If it really bothers you, try some Castrol Super Clean, but be careful, it eats aluminum if you leave it on too long. Used just right, it comes out nice and shiney clean.

As for rust, cut, sand, weld, prime, and paint. Spraying oil on it will slow the rate of consumption, but it won't stop it.
