JDM = EXPENSIVE

and as far as I know, there's no JDM turbo kits...

So some dude with a crappy civic and a drag gen III turbo kit could whoop most of you JDM freaks anyways.

Oh, and for the people that are going to reply with "but you can make JDM fast"... Yes, you can. By replacing those JDM pistons with higher (orlower for boost) compresison pistons.

Now, I'm open to suggestions on how you could effectively spend a set amount of money on JDM parts, and then spend the same on other aftermarket parts to see which car is faster

I'm not flaming JDM... Lots of the parts are nice, but way too pricey for my taste (then again, i have *gasp* altezzas on my car... but they look good, so piss off :fawk: )

Top Fuel is one of the most popular applications for Honda.

Mugen use to make one for the CRX

Honda even had their own turbochargers back before VTEC and mini turbos for their mini cars now.

i don't get import mags anymore... but i've looked at turbo and they are more into the go fast stuff.

i don't really see the import mags having any real info...

i think people need to quit making classes for crap.

try to make your civic fast, that's the only way to win respect.

people focus too much on one thing, make your car fun to drive, and learn about your car.. that's when you don't get bored with your car and know why people pour $20,000 in a $5,000 civic.

keyword "had" turbochargers. Are these parts readily available at the present time?

On a side note, i saw a civic hatchback AWD the other day... looked really old (mid 80's maybe??). The driver looked like your normal everyday driver, not a ricer, so I think it might be a real one. Did they actually make an AWD civic? hrm.... wonder how much it'd cost to make my civic an AWD

ugh... okay, now that i've been thinking about this, it's starting to get me pissed...

Why do we all have to buy other brand turbo kits? Toyota has TRD... they have lots of factory 'options'... and mitsubishi makes turbo standard on some cars (granted it's only 6 pounds or so).. but still.

Mitsubishi makes turbos on cars... and Honda trys **** me over for puttin an intake and exhaust on my car. I have a feeling that Honda's not going to make it much longer for the import scene. I've already started looking at other cars... The subaru impreza WRX (4wd turbo, yummy) and the Mitsu Lancer EVOVII(7 i think...) which is supposed to make the WRX look like a turd.

Did i really buy the right car? 160HP stock vs. 230hp 4wd stock...

Plus, i priced a new impreza... with a 5 year loan at 10% interest, i'd be paying 100 bucks less a month than my civic (6.9% finance). Ain't that a *****.

Sorry, I'll stop my ranting now.

Yes, Top Fuel and KeiyoJiko Protec both make turbo kits readily availible at the present time. [civic, del sol, s2000, integra] Honda still makes turbochargers for their cars today. None of which we will see in the states.

EF Si hatchback wagons are AWD.

They fully believe in high revving N/A cars after VTEC was invented in 91 with the NSX.

You are also comparing an Impreza, and EVO with a Civic. They arent even in the same class.

If you are sick of Honda, go jump on the Impreza/240SX bandwagon

My point was... where's honda's mid range sports car? not the S2000... that's 35k. I guess the RSX-S could be it, but it'd get stomped on by an impreza (i think they're both around the same price)

If the dealer would have asked "Hey, would you like a turbo kit and racing suspension with that"... I wouldn't have hesitated at all, if Honda covered all parts under warranty.

TURBO is tight, but you ever notice how you're done reading the WHOLE thing in one day?
