Default car wont warm up

so i just put my new LS motor in the other day and when i drive my car, it wont "warm up" so to speak.
the motor idles higher when its cold, and drops when after running for a few minutes like normal, but it wont warm up. like the radiator/hoses are all still cool to the touch and the temp guage doesnt move even after i've been driving it for a few minutes

my first thoughts were about the thermostat, but than the car would overheat correct? than i thought about the sending unit for the water temp, but that still wouldnt explain the coolness of the radiator, and hoses. could it be both?

thanks

It just might be cause if no water is running through the motor then theres no reason for the ratiator to be hot . understand ? and you just might not have the gauge hooked up right so it might just be over heating and your not knowing it . take a look and see ! hope I helped out !

it might actually be your thermostat even though you don't think so. mine was seized and cause my engine not to heat up either, temp gauge would stay very low and car wasn't giving me any heat.

I also think it is the thermostat. How long have you driven it before you check the radiator hoses?
