yeah a/f doesn't do much
my friend: "what guage is that one over there?
me: "its my Air fuel gauge"
my friend: "what does it do?"
me: "i have no idea"

werd....af guages are worthless unless you spent like 500 bucks on a wideband...

might as well add an oil pressure or voltage guage.

it is best to hook the purple wire to the white wire off the o2 sensor then to the ecu. just like mines, at first start it stays green, starts rich, then gradually it goes to stioch then bounces to lean. ur fine.

I have no idea where to start looking for the purple or white wires. I'd prefer to not hack the firewall. If necessary, where should I do it. Thanks

the purple wire you are seeking is on the actual A/F gauge itself,..the white wire coming from the O2 is on the O2 which is under the car on the down pipe,...run the purple wire through an existing hole in the firewall that has a grommet (remember kids, grommets are good) and then splice it into the white wire on the o2,..power and ground the other 2 wires coming from the guage and you got pretty lights,..my A/F guage takes awhile before the lights start jumping around after the car is started
