Default Reverse Light Problem

Ok I just sold 1994 Del Sol Si my CF Euros and he said he is having problems installing them because he has a box :dunno: that goes on the back of his reverse light part. I don't remember having it and he needs to know what to do. Any suggestions? The box is below:

dude I know bought some for a teg and they have the box too. But the taillights came with harness adapters that just screw right on the the light. And back on topic, my 95 EX coupe had the boxes on the trunk lid too. Lights screw in there, box goes on the taillight with 2 screws, then plug harness's together.

just unscrew the stock units and screw them into the new taillamps. it only takes a phillips screwdriver

the box keeps the light from reflecting back into the trunk.

so they won't fit because of the box?

if thats the case, there's two solutions:
1) ditch the tails
2) ditch the boxes

well, is the box nessisary for the lights to fit in?

on my 6th gen, the boxes behind the lights aren't nessisary for the lights to hook up. When I had put my red/clears on a while back, I didn't ever really put the boxes back on, and all I noticed was light going into the trunk if I, say, hit the brakes, or maybe went into reverse.

:dunno:
