Sweet, header came today, pics

93 CBR 600F2 Super Sport, 31K miles, jet kit, Yoshi exhaust, new Yuasa battery, black/silver/red, some scratchs on right side, left side good cept for around the marker is cracked, rear fender eliminator, CF signals under tail.

Why wont it add anything? It will flow better than stock, so whats the difference?

cheap units do not go through such process. they are usually copied and molded from some other type of mass produced "header" that is already out in the market. now if you think of it... if they copied a DC Sports design that is mass produced (which usually means lower quality and higher tolerance of error) ...that means the cheaper units are copies of a copy. [ imagine making a photocopy of the original.... now make photocopies of the photocopy....quality is lost]

now if you think of it...flow is important for horsepower gain. if your header has some imperfection or flaw in its design when the mold was taken to make it...it can hurt performance.


factory manifolds went through R&D to develop. brand name manifolds did some R&D to develop. cheaper no name brands do not research and develop their products = cheaper prices.
