Default LS swap best for EX?

I drive an automatc ex, was wondering what the best option for making the car fast was.......taking into consideration a strict budget (at the time) and need for reliability...Was thinking of a USDM automatic LS swap with forced induction or heavy engine work..give me your opinions

Just get rid of the auto tranny, working with an auto is such a hassle.

yeah, but the labor on installing a manual would be half of what the car is worth alone (around 3-4 thousand).. already priced that

LS is a good swap for the 5th gen. If you were running a manual you'd run a 14.8-15.2, depending on driver.

An auto will sap a lot of that power though. Personally I'd do a manual conversion if you're truly serious about performance. If it's more expensive than the car, get another Civic.

Inlinepro does auto to 5-speed conversions for $1000 last time I called them.

Is there any reason why you don't want to sell the car other than a few hassles? Honestly, you're way better off selling the car and getting a manual tranny car. You could even pick one up with a messed up motor if you plan on swapping it out.

 I should've done that.

Unless you have a super big attachment to your car, h: just sell your car and buy the same car with a manual transmission
