Default Wiper help

I have new wipers on my car less than a month old and they are streaking/smearing when the wipe. What causes this? Is it shit on my winshield or dirty wipers? TIA

Patrick

oil could have got on the wipers (not engine oil... oily chemicals)... or they could have some acidic chemicals in em somehow

take em off... wash em real good... wash your window really good with auto glass cleaner... some rain-x... then put em back on...

problem continues look into new wipers...

While we're on the topic of wipers...how the hell do you install wipers. I might sound like a such a damn noob but Honda uses some gay ass mounts for the wiper arms. What little attachment is needed to mount new arms on?

I know rain-x is good, but why did you take off the wipers? To save weight?

just dont like them.. the first step was rain-x... then i realized i never really used my wipers ever even in rain.. then i once i removed them i thought.. although subtle and barely noticeable.. it looks better without wipers..

but yes.. between cruise control, wiper assembly, resivoir.. etc.. im sure i saved a LITTLE weight.. nothing that matters but whatever:thumbup:

The attatchments should come with new complete wipers, not just refills. Stock refills are sometimes smaller which makes them a dealer only item or just hard to find.
