k-series motors are hondas future, get used to it.

the swap wil be expensive but it will probobly be very popular in hte future just like civics w/ b-series motors are now and it will cause the price to drop dramatically in about 6-7 years

the swap shouldnt be any harder than any other k-series swap into the new chasis

BTW: you could try to peice a swap together (might be a little eaiser) the k24 also come in a CR-V which has been out longer htan the TSX, and any RSX/SI tranny will bolt to it, and you can use the axels from the si and comp too, just watch out for that whole imobilization thing.

This is just getting ridiculous...

First off with the trouble putting that TSX engine in, and the money involved you could have put in the craziest turboed b18.

Why bother all that custom fabrication? For a newer engine? And when it's all said and done... westcoaststyle, paull, or any of the people on this board that put down good numbers will come ruin your day.

You have any clue on how to wire that in? What about the i-vtec? OBD? Any of these issues ever come into play or are you just good at dreaming. Please do me a favor and send me the $20K that you have "sitting around" for this project, I'll put it to much better use.

What's with everyone and the K series? The only one worth putting in is the RSX Type S. Because atleast SOMEONE makes mounts for it. And its been out a good 2 years now so there are a few 10K swaps sittin around. And even the RSX cant hold a candle to the good ol' type r.

Just my 2 cents :joshers: olong: :loco:

I love it how us, the old timers of HAN understand how honda's work. And have a brain. And the new people think we are the dumb ones.

Yes i know there is a kit being made to put the new Si engine into the Ek's, however there are still many steps untill they get released. Why? Even Hasport said its a *****!!! pain in the ass! and the wires are a frign mess. ive seen a NSX motor into a CRX, ive seen them in a civic. ive seen a big block in a NSX, ive seen a rocket in a bus, ive seen a jet engine in a Mac truck.
Can you spell money?
I can, M O N E Y.

Now, dose this meen it cant be done? No, i can be.
But when a newbi comes here and makes a BOLD statment like " WE CAN, WE WILL, I KNOW ALL" about Installing a K motor into a car thats not tubed framed, well you sir, are lame!!1! You apear to me, know nothing about some thing, and know a ton about getting dip in shit and rolled in a cracker berral. Because, i dont belive in my mind, you got enuff money to even pay for you car in cash. I bet its out on a loan.
I wouldnt even try this, and i bought my civic two years ago, up front, 100% cash @ dealership. Why? Becuase unlike you, I have a brain.

okay i'm not gonna even argue with you anymore. i'll lay it out like this. I have the money. CASH. Blacktrax.net and redlinemotorsports.us are just some of the shops that I have hooks in and i'm not doing this because I know it'll be easy. I know it's going to be hard, difficult, and pricey. Been there done the B20 and H22A thing. I feel that it's time for a challenge. I may be a newbie to this forum but don't call me out like that because believe it of not there are people out there that know more then you and are willing to make the extra effort instead of complaining about how hard it is or how much money it's going to cost. Quit living in the past and make some room for change. Just because people want to do something different doesn't mean you have to critisize and put it down. You could explain the problems that may occur and so forth (not that I already don't know) but you're just flat out dissing people. Remember I just asked for the engine and that's all.

After all of the money, blood, sweat, tears, and oh yeah, more money that you will have to put in to the car, guess what you'll be left with in the end.....just a civic :happysad: If you're going to spend $10-20k on a project like this, why not just get a TSX or an RSX-S? It doesn't seem worth it.

I just looked at your profile....you're 18 years old, getting an M3, and have enough money to dump a K24 into your Civic. Either the drug trade is really lucrative out in the Bay area, or Mommy and Daddy really love you.
