Default Question about a motor

i just got a D16Y8 motor off a 99 civic. i was going to put it in my 93 civicDx. i didnt get a intake manifold. can my stock intake manifold fit on this motor?

Yes, but you really want a VTEC manifold for best power.

I see them on ebay all of the time. The last one I saw ended at $50. I'd check the classifieds on HAN too.

It'll definitely bolt up. And it'll save you some time, but that's about it.

so is it worth gitting a new one or should i stay with the stock DX one?

I hear all of the time that the Y8 IM is the best flowing D-series IM. If I were you, I'd just get the Y8 one. Unless you need to drive the car now, then I'd put the current one on now and eventually put the Y8 one on.

Definately worth getting the new one. I'd get it right when you install because a Y8's throttle body position requires a different style of intake.

hey, i've got a 96 d16y8 complete intake manifold w/ Throttle body... it just doesn't have a Idle Air Control Valve..... i'll sell ya the intake for 75 + shipping.... pm me or email me at dracos2002@hotmail.com i can find some pictures of it too if you like....
