Snow? What's that?
I believe you can send your Konis to any of several authorized Koni distributors (Koni NA, Truechoice, etc) who are experienced at rebuilding and revalving the dampers to your specifications. You'd likely have to pay for this customization...but the fact that you can even do it in the first place is one of the reasons the Sports are so popular.
Mr. Louie can correct me if I'm wrong.

Cool man, I should look into this revalving, I had no idea that they would do that...
You live for that sport, it's so cool.
i may be just a complete noob when it comes to this, but your taking all of your aftermarket things off to save for the spring/summer so they dont get ruined during the winter? and your sending your konis back to get replaced?
what exactly does revalving mean?

Actually you can revalve alot of shocks. I know my friends with stock WRX struts he can buy inserts for his. YOu take the struts off, cut the guts out and install the Koni Inserts.
As far as my shocks I found out today that I do not really need to do it. My Koni Yellows should be good for another 2-3 years with the spring rates I'm running (350f/400r). And my suspension guy said most FWD cars don't need compression adjustment just rebound - because if you make the car too stiff the car can skitter across the pavement instead of absorbing the road.
Revalving means replacing the internals of the shocks cause like any part of the car they can wear out. A worn out shock can cause a car to bounce after it hits a bump. Sort of like many people do with aftermarket springs and stock shocks.
And yes I'm removing everything so I can drive my car in the winter. Corrosion is taking a toll on my exhaust components already (been on the car for 3 years). So I might get them Jet Hot coated. And my suspension is the "PRIME" of my car don't want to ruin those pieces with road salt.

I've been waiting for a warm day - and today reached 70. So I left the car in the sun for about 2 hours.

Thanks for the heads up and explanation on everything. Smart idea when your as good and into a sport as you are. I think its about time for some aftermarket struts, my stocks ones are pretty much toast after you saying how the car bounces when i hit a bump. Ive been looking at the tokico HP, but thats only because thats what my friend has on his hatch and its not TOO bad of a ride. What do you suggest?
