Found it!!! Do only Vtec cars have this???? or is it standard on every Civic? what would it look like on a normal Civic?

it is the VTEC soleniod that actuates VTEC therefore only cars with VTEC will have this VTEC soleniod.

I don't mean to stretch this thread longer than it should... but you're wrong about canada not having vtec hatches. The 92 to 95 SI hatches in canada all had sohc vtec. What I think you meant is that canadian hatches never got DOHC VTEC engines... B16's.

your 94 was faster eh?? seeing as its the same exact engine, i think its all in your head. either that, or the civic you have now is in much worse running condition.
and you could feel the sohc vtec kick in with the 94 and not the 93?? im surprised you could feel anything. when i drove my friends si, it felt practically the same as my dx.

Oh No...you could definitely FEEL the Vtec in my 94. For sure.
