Get real. You have accurate info, from American and CANADIAN Honda Civic enthusiasts. You're trusting an ad paper, and regular people who don't know jack shit.
:werd: I'm sick of trying to explain to n00bs

Okay guys I got the Info!!!

Lo and Behold it says D16Z6 on the Engine....can you believe I actually found it? Yay for me!

Also the spark plug covers things are on the front like you all said.

My Apologies..but really NOBODY in my area knows that Vtec came prior to 94 in Civic Si's! Like seriously nobody. we couldnt even sell it with that feature..because nobody would believe us!

One more question...where is this Vtec solonoid thing you all are talking about??

Once again/my apologies...and THANK YOU ut seriously nobody in my area will believe it is Vtec...and it certainly doesnt have that extra oomph at 5000rpm's like it should. Then again I am a girl..and dont drive it very hard...

I'm glad you got all my PM to you. So you have the D16Z6. 1.6 SOHC VTEC. Good for you. As far as people in Canada not believing you have VTEC,.... forget them. If you have car dealers or car trader magazines that don't believe you at this point, tell them they're full of sh1t and don't know anything about their cars (honda's at least).

Also check out this canadian civic page....
Club Civic Quebec

specifically the civic specs for US/CAN/JDM...
Civic engine specs...

Your engine code is D16Z6... you definitly have VTEC, don't bother trying to find the solenoid, I don't even know where its at. It doesn't matter.

The Distributar cap is where the 4 spark plug wires start at. Black cap. A little behind it is the VTEC solenoid. There is a bright green plug on it.
