Default 92 speedo and idle

Anyone know how to fix a dead speedo? My first one started to jump around, then died. The second is starting to jump and I don't have another to swap.Is there a procedure for DIY fix. Also, when my 92 1.5 Civic gets warm, the idle drops to about 200 RPM, where should I start looking?
It's got 245,000 miles, burns no oil, new distributor, and valve adjust, evrything stock. Thanks in advance.

i've got the same problems with my 93. i think its the speed sensor that is messing up your speedo. i need to get a new one but no time\money. and my idle is also very low..

Tried swapping senders last time speedo died, then I swapped the cluster and it worked.

the idle is low i think it should be around 650-700. The idle adjustment screw is on the TB. Turn that and it will adjust the idle

But for 230,00 miles its been fine. I'd like to know why it dropped.
I'm looking into to IACV, hoping it's not worn cams or something else. Anyone know about the sensor installed during an A/C addition that raises the idle?

replacing the cap, rotor, plugs and wires may help the idle.

Just replaced distributor, cap and rotor. Adjusted it and we'll see the long term idle-it drops after a couple hours of driving.
