No, because I reserve the right to pay attention to or ignore what I see fit. Why should I feel obligated to divert attention from my driving to something I am not interested in?

Yes it is a show car. I can tell he has put a lot of money and work into it, and for what has come out, he has done a great job. It just doesn't fall within my tastes, and you are not in a position to judge me on that.

You are absolutely right, rice=attention. It's sad, but true. Well I have an inherent resistance to conformity.

i love del sols and everytime i see one i check it out. good,bad,ugly- i still look. even the ugliest one, i wouldn't compare to a corolla

Of course I would look, I would then realize what has been done to that Sol, think to myself, "damn that's rice," and turn my head the other way.

And you're right, Corolla was kinda mean, let me substitute in "typical ricer Civic."

or to an MR2 it kinda similar. but a sol is much better looking still.
