Default Dynoing again today

i'm going to make the hour and a half drive up to Trussville after work tonight to hit the dyno at 14psi. :boink:

I need to get tuned for it so I can run it at the track well tomorrow. I'm going to try a few things I've been reading about to try to get more traction out of my street tires including: jacking up the back a bit to shift the car weight to the front wheels and some clutch trickery.

Can anyone say ~300whp? :rick:

Usually you can adjust your tire pressure to help with traction (20psi F, 45psi R). Also, if you have an EBC, its better if you run your low setting through first and hit the high button half way through second (or after you stop spinning).

Good luck on the dyno.

Ya, I know about the EBC. I was thinking the same thing. LO is at 10 psi now, but I may move that down to like 6 or 8. Only problem is that I'd have to be reaching for the hi/lo button while I'm racing. Multi-tasking isn't a stong point of mine. :chuckles:

I usually put my tire pressure down to about 22-25 in the front and 35 in the back.

why wdo you want to push the engine harder? 260whp is more than enough on a civic chassis dude. i just hope you still have a motor when you're done.

Because it's there. h:

Thanks mom.

Seriously, because the motor was built for this. I doubt that I'm really even putting all that much stress on it now. She'll hold.

I don't think I'll be able to get up there. The Hondata tuner is busy so I'll have to reschedule.

No no no... the Hondata tuner owns a shop near the dyno. He's doing an H22 swap today and doesn't think he'll be able to make it over to the dyno to tune me for 14 psi. I'll call him later and see where he is on it, but it's not looking good.

No point in paying for the dyno if I can't tune on it imo.
