I'm pretty set on the AEM CAI, but before I click the ORDER button, I'd like to hear what people who bought those no-name intakes experienced.

Besides noise, did it do anything for your power? Did you have troubles with the non-brand filter?

How was the fit? Did you have to mod it to get it to fit? What about the air sensors?

I had one. It sounded bad. The filter kinda sucked. I guess if you replace the filter with a K&N it's not TOO bad.

 

If you are going to do anything to your car, save the money and spend the time to do it right. The Ebay filters suck ass BTW.

 

I thnk the pipe will be too thin as well. My Injen pipe is pretty thick and doesn't get very hot. the Injen also has the support welded to the pipe. Most ebay one jsut have a flimsy support piece you just bolt on and IMO looks bad.

anyway as far as intakes go, if the intake youre buying does not include an air horn either on the pipe or in the filter its not worth buying cause you wont get the full potential from the intake sytem cause the air entering would be too turbulent.

i remember when i used to work at walmart and some guy was returning a vacuum and when i asked him what was wrong with it he said "cause it sucks" i just wanted to just belt out with laughter...lol
