Default cx hatch with what type r engine?

I am going to buy a cx soon with my brother as our project car. Its gonna be a 92 and its only like 800 bucks. It runs decent now but were gonna do a swap.I was wondering if a civic type r engine would be faster than a gsr swap? the difference in price is like 500 but it comes with lsd unlike the gsr. Or should i just wait and get a ITR engine.Any idea's on 1/4 times witht these engines in a stripped 2000 pound hatch prolly like 1900 after stripped
maybe high 1800's.All comments welcome thanks

some of the jdm gsr swaps have lsd. You can ask the place where you are buying it and see if they any, but they usually want $300 more for a swap with lsd.

If you want to be fast right off, buy an H22. But if not just buy a GS-R it can be made just as fast for less money....
pretty much what snoopy said, but i wanted to say it again...

n/a with nitrous
see on hmotorsonline a b16b is like 3800 and a b18c1 with lsd is roughly 3500 and b16b has lsd already.Just wondering which would be better, also full h22 swap is like 2k on that site i would have to switch mounts but what else? im taking ac and ps out in fact i dont think there even on the car.

a b18c5 would do a 13.5 pretty easily, well maybe thats pushing it . But a 13.5 with a good driver. I know a h22a should be low 13's also with i/h/e in a hatch.

If you aren't into bragging that it is JDM, I'd say get the B18 and just buy an LSD for an extra $300. It should be easy to install since the motor and tranny won't be in the car.
