Default headlight bulb replacement

Do I need to remove the entire headlight in order to replace the bulb? I have a 2000 Civic and it looks like I'd either have to remove the entire headlights or remove some stuff in my engine compartment to get access to the rear of headlights to change the bulbs... is there an easy way?

Are you replacing the front or rear light bulb?

Hope you have small hands. It's not that bad. On the driver side, you're gonna have to remove the power steering resevoir. Just slide it out of the harness and move it to one side. Other then that, you won't be able to see the back of the headlamp. Just have to take off harness, remove rubber gasket, find spring clamp, remove bulb and reverse to install. You don't need to take out the headlamp to replace any bulbs. If you do that you'll have to remove the entire bumper. Just reference your manual.

Hope that helps

Took me some time to replace my headlight bulbs because there was very little clearance behind the headlight unit to pull the darn connector out. Finally did it. Expect some scraped hands and fingers :bigok:

I agree about having small hands. I can't fit them inside more than enough to just wiggle my finger by the connector.
