Ok, I've got a 98 dx hatchback with about 98K. It runs nearly perfect and is clean as **** throughout. The oil never turns dark hardly at all even after 3000 miles. Well, I have a cat-back, header intake, basically all the common bolt ons. Well, I need more power. I am gonna order a Jackson supercharger for it, as well as install a d16z6 head. I also want to apply a NX nitrous kit. Wil the motor hold??? Does anyone have similar experience with a D series motor. Can anyone see problems with the head swap?? Should I prpare the block in anyway that will help. Maybe a block-guard or something similar??? Thanks for any and all input
It will last for a few weeks on stock internals. :exnbp: If you want it to last you should look into some crank work, a set of good rods, and some billet pistons. The stock internals are not made to handle that kind of stress and nitrous is hard on stock cast pistons.

the only problem with a turbo is the boost is adjustable. I know I wil get addicted to boost, crank that shit up, then blow something. With a supercharger the only thing I can really do is buy a 12lb pulley which probably wouldn't be all too devistating. I guess you could call me a little bit stupid in a few respects, but just like everyone else on this board, I like power, and I will do what it takes to get power.
