I say just get some high compression pistons and a cam. exhaust on honda's is a waste of money. they aren't like chevy's where header(s) add 20-25 hp. With a d16 you are looking at like 1.5hp increase.

i would go cam gear if you want it a little quicker.

do you want to make more noise or go wif your original statement of going faster?

Yes, if you have the money to waste get a DC sport header. Exhaust on a 1.6 liter engine with only an intake won't do much...so it doesn't really matter what you get.

i used to have a 91 camaro iroc z28 and the thing was pure muscle. kinda wierd going to a lite hi tech car. ne ways i can see y the high compression pistons would produce more power, but ywhat would a new cam do. if its only sohc whats the difference bewteen stock, scence only 1 is used for exhaust and intake, would it just make the process smoother or something? and how much gain would come out of that?? thx for info

Your engine is controlled by your cam, so if you have a cam designed for gas mileage you will get gas mileage. If you have a cam for power, you get power...

The cam controls the valves and such... If you would have changed the cam in your camaro it would have gotten a big gain in power. muscle cars only stay low-tech if that's the way they are left. I know a guy with a 650hp street driven camaro with twin turbo. Technology and muscle

Depending on the profile of the cam determines your power gains. The profile of it controls the lift and duration of the valves.

ZEX sells a really nice street cam for us SOHC guys, they claim 12 hp increases. I have that cam on order along with the valve springs and retainers...I'll have it dynoed and see if that number holds up. But that would be an economical way to add a wee bit of power. I drove around for a month or so without forced induction, it really sucked...save you money for that
