why didnt u just try it . vtec engages no matter what, you dont even have to be in gear. you could just be in neutral and it will engage if u rev it high enough. damn that is a dumb ass question though. why would you even want to hit vtec in reverse.

no it won't. there are certain conditions for vtec to engage. you have to be in gear, and moving (over 25mph i think).

i accidentally did it once when i was in a empty walmart parking lot late one night, i was getting off of work when i used to work at walmart and my car was parked under a tree as i was about to back out the tree branch started cracking and then started to fall so i punched it in reverse, i didnt even notice how fast i was going all i know is that i freaked out when vtec engaged and then i spun out and i guess it looked like i was trying to do a reverse donut cause my coworkers asked me the next day, why were you doing donuts in the parking lot?...lol i think that was a really humorous time in my life.

You are wrong. Vtec doesn't engage in neutral.

For Vtec to engage, your engine has to be at normal driving temp. It cannot be cold. Your car also has to be moving. I don't know about a certain speed, but people in this thread seem to agree that it is 25mph.

You also have to have enough oil pressure.

Why the fock are you even asking? I am just trying to imagine it. Are you and your buddies starting a new street racing trend? "Dude, I'll race you in REVERSE!" ~crowd gasps in utter shock~
