Default speedometer not working

ok so i start the engine and it start to bounce i go for a drive it was working fine till i gun it then it started trippin and trannie started to down shift to number 1 and now its not working and trannie wont shift at all it stay at number 1.

from the crappy grammar, it sounds like it's an automatic. Sounds like it's time to rebuild the tranny... Not a fun task with an auto.

it cant be the trannie cause its electronic shift. the tcm need the speedo to determin were the shift point is at, but my speedo is not working anymore and i cant find the problum

I was under the impression that the shift points where set by throttle position and RPM. Speedo function should be completely independant of the transaxle function.

see the thing is when my speedo went out it wont go into any gear or just wont shift to next highest gear
