Default knocking in rear strut assembly! :(

k guys....over the past 2 weeks or so I've noticed a slight knocking noise in the rear passanger strut assembly. Its getting pretty anoying I'm guessing its the CA bushings seeing as how my car is around 100k and its just that time Also I took my wheel off and checked them, they look pretty crappy!! Would there be anything else that might be causing my problem?

K part two

If in fact my rear bushings are shot and I have to replace them, will I be able to replace just the bushings pressing the old ones out or will I have to replace the whole control arm? If so how much do you think this venture will run me??

 thanks boys

Press them out and put some urithane ones in there.

You can get the ES kit for just the rear LCAs I think.

Excallent!!! West thanks man. Your always around to help a brotha out I will check the ES kit out now on the net. Thanks for answering another question of mine as to what PU bushing kit I should purchase. I'd rather not go thru this again so I think I will take your advise and go for the urithane bushings. I will still have to take them to my local honda dealer I believe. They will have the proper machine to press them out right?? You can't just DIY can you??

You're sure it isn't a blown strut in the back? Sometimes they make a knocking type sound when they're blown...:dunno:

Ya that could be true bro but I don't think so due to the fact that:

One>their Koni yellows

Two>I just put them on at the start of the summer

However stranger things have happened

The bushings have to be replaced anyway so we will know soon enough!!

K....I called my local Honda shop and they told me that they would not install aftermarket bushings for me. I asked about regualar rubber and he told me that the entire CA had to be replaced.....nice I said "screw that"...so I went to a spring shop down the way and he told me that he could install the LCA urithane bushings for Roughly $200 CDN parts/labor.

Is this a moderately good price for just the LCA's or should I shop around????
