for what it's worth, i just got a 95 civic ex coupe (manual) for 4800 with 76K miles. and i'm 6'3". i'd say it's definitely a good car to start with. and get a manual. if you every mod your car in the future, you will regret getting an automatic. trust me. i had a manual, wrecked, got an automatic, 6 years later i got another manual and can't see why i ever drove an auto for that long.

if you get a stick its cheaper and more fun to drive but if you are a wimp and can't drive get an auto. like most these guys i'm 6ft and plenty of room with peeps in car, just slows ya down and i make whoever is in back suffer with seat back all the way

Manual - funner, better gas milage, faster, better
Auto- Easier, Less for insurance, .........

Get a manual ....

If you're set on getting a 5th gen civic, I would suggest getting a set of del sol seats to put in. They seat you lower in the car and making it feel more roomy inside.

Thanks.

One last question about the stock VTec.

I know the RSXs today have Vtec that kicks in at like 5600 RPMs...Is that how this VTEC works?
