dealership does rip them off.
you get paid like an hour to replace side moldings.
you think you're gonna take an hour to replace 'em? no, you'd yank them off and have the job done in 20 mins, get paid an hours worth and move onto another project that payes you 4 hours but you do in 2.5.
mechanics are about money, not doing it the right way, get it done, and out of there.

bumnah was and others with similar views were RIGHT.. i called a friend of a friend at a dealership... and said "when replacing side moldings do you go from inside the car" and he said and i quote.."yeah right that would take forever" so i did it the pull way and it worked GREAT and took like 15 minutes TOTAL... VERY easy... and it looks great.. im VERY happy with it.. will post pics sooon

just thought id letyou all know ripping them off seemed to really work fine.. it made a lot of scarey noises.. but no problems..
