Here are some before & after pics of my ride after returning from the body shop yesterday. For those of you who might not have seen, I was side-swiped by an eighteen wheeler that decided he wanted my lane. Then, a week later I got caught in the worst hail storm in fifteen years.
The grand total for the repairs was $7800.00 & my insurance paid for all but $250 (comp deductible for the hail - 18-wheeler was uninsured motorist since he didn't stop with no deductible).
The list of parts that was replaced is : pass quarter, pass rear door, rear bumper, trunk, hood, roof skin, (1) Motegi 17" wheel & the chrome window trim for all 4 doors was replaced with black trim from a DX model. The entire car was repainted & the pin striping was left off. My buddy did the work & repainted the front bumper/air dam for free since it took almost a month to do all the repairs. The idiots @ the local dealership sent the roof for a 2-door & the quarter for a civic the first time.
Anyway, here's the pics:
Wrecked quarter up close:
Wrecked upper pillar:
Repaired quarter:
Drivers side before:
Drivers side after - notice how much better it looks without the pin stipe & with the black instead of chrome trim:
Rear before w/ altezzas:
Rear after with the painted centers from a set of TYC skyline-style lights. I put the corners on,
but they looked ghetto with these ugly reflectors on the sides. I'm thinking about taking the
altezza corners apart & painting the insides to match the centers.
Let me know whatca think
BTW: I had a piece of crap Mitsubishi Galant for the 26 days my car was in the shop & all I can say is "SHITTY" :madfawk:
