That's why I've been saying using Mobil 1 5w-30 WILL BE FINE!!!

In fact ANY 5w-30 oil that meets API (American Petroleum Institute) specs will be fine in your new Honda. There was no magical change that occured inside of Honda's engines between 2000 and 2001. Honda just wants to up their fuel economy numbers and this is a valid way to do it without making major changes. Have you noticed all of Honda's cars have improved in fuel economy over their 2000 conterparts? This is one of the ways they have done that.

5W-20 oil is fine to use if you want to, but Honda will not void your warranty and your car will be fine if you use 5w-30 oil.
