Some advice on replacing my wheels?
Hi - can you guys give me some advice? I've never changed wheel sizes on a car before, but I would like to replace the 15 inch plastic-hubcap-covered wheels on my 2003 Accord sedan with the 16 inch wheels that come as the stock wheels on the 2003 EX models. I'm assuming that this can be done - it can, right? Does anything have to be done except to just put them right on the car, with new tires too of course?
Since those wheels were intended for cars with disc brakes both front and back, and I have drum brakes in the back . . . is that a problem? Will it look stupid?
And, do you think the seven spoke or five spoke wheels would look better (in view of the brake drums and all)?
I was just reading another post, where everybody said not to change wheel size and tires without changing suspension first, and I definitely see your point - but, I feel like replacing plastic hubcaps is big priority here.
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think.
