In the new super street, there is an article on cams. The issue of needing new valve springs came up, and one expert stated they've run mild race cams in honda engines up to 10,000 with stock valve springs.
With a stock cam, assuming you can fuel it consistently, remember, stock fuel maps wouldn't run above redline... you should be fine to at least 7k, don't underestimate our hondas. But if you have modified ecu all is well. As for daily driving reliability, if you aren't revving to 7 all day long, you should be fine with a higher rev limiter...
