Accord Coupe Vs. TL (Interior)
A co-worker of mine has a brand new TL Type S; pretty much stock, no tint, no body kit or wing---in that electric blue color that seems so fitting for it. I have a 99 Accord EX V-6 Coupe, in San Marino Red, tinted out, OEM body kit and rear wing, fogs, exhaust tips---totally loaded. We most of the time take his car out to lunch (or another co worker of ours who has an 03 Maxima) because his vehicle is more practical with the four doors and all.
But I gotta tell ya---as much as I complain about my coupe's "smallish presence" on the roads compared to other mid size coupes in its class, sitting in my Accord's two front seats, you cant help but notice that there is a great deal more room up front in my COUPE than there is in this guy's TL SEDAN....I usually sit up front when we go out, and I swear, the dashboard layout and seating position is a lot more cramped in his four door SEDAN than in my Accord---the dash in my car and front seats just feel more "sweeping" and "open" compared to the TL. And he has even commented when sitting in my car, "man, you got A LOT of room in here for a sports coupe----A LOT..." Other people have commented about my car's interior room, as well; a friend of mine who recently moved to Florida from New York had just bought a new Jetta, and commented to me about all the room my two door has compared to his four door; just thought the interior room differences between my Accord and his TL were interesting to mention....all throughout the vehicles, on a side note, you can see the similar interior touches---the window switches are the same in the Accord and TL, the cream colored materials, the sunglasses holder, some of the gauges...aside from that, just thought I would share the fact that the 98-02 Accord Coupe's interior SEEMS or APPEARS to "feel" a bit more airy and sweeping than does the TLs...interesting...
I was considering going from the Accord 2-door into a TL with the body kit and wing and all; but the vehicle is still to small for me EXTERIOR wise; not enough body length. So Im going to be looking toward a domestic sedan of some kind---Bonneville, Grand Prix, 300M or Concorde...something HUGE.
