racing is not 80% car. I've seen fools in fast cars looking real dumb because they don't know how to launch (or corner). Even in drag racing which i find to be boring, if you aren't good with your clutch forget about it. on the track, i'd put driver skill at more like 60 or 70%, on the drag strip 40-50%.

2nd, a 2g stock turbo'd DSM will kill any stock lude because they've got something we honda kids have never had: low end torque. Which is precisely why drag racing people in preludes, civics, or teg's is stupid. learn how to drive and nail em in the turns. unless you WANT to spend 12,000 turning your civvy into a 13 second car...i'd rather just buy an Evo or an STi...
