Well, there's a big difference between running a test pipe and open header on the strip("for those 10 seconds or less, I'm free...to pollute the environment") or race track versus on a car I'm going to be driving 30-40 miles every single day.
I think the ungodly sound of a test pipe is incentive enough to invest in a carsound.
