OK, I installed the Injen short ram and fabricated a setup similar to yours.
The car definitely has a much more throaty sound to it, especially in VTEC. It feels much more ballanced... does ont hesitate sa much as before on clutch take-up from standing starts. On the highway it definitely has more power.
There seems to be less engine braking poer though in gear.

I am quite happy.
