that's true, if you have a really nice car or really push the limits of your tires then you should be buying something better like S03s.
the thing is if you don't push those limits your just wasting your money especially if you do lots of dragracing. the cheaper name brand tires do perform well just not to the highest levels that may be needed by some. one of my friends is big into autocrossing and drives a 2001 audi 1.8T. in that situation cheaping out on tires is just dumb. or like some of the tards you post reviews at tirerack who buy cheap ass tires for their 40K+ car. one comes to mind i was reading today. he put dunlop FM901s on his mercedes CLK450 or something that and he bitches about them. well duh.
