Actually you are wrong about the tread wear on the 712s. Go to whalentire or tirerack and put in 215-45/17 and you will see that the tread wear on the 712s are 280. Just wanted to get the facts straight because I love my kumhos.
i should have pointed out i'm looking at 205 55 15s which are V rated tires. one thing some people don't realize is that Kumhos has a V and Z rated 712s depending on size, which of course means they have different compounds. i think the Z rated version with the 280 tread wear is probably much better.
as for the sumitomom HRZIIs, my friend has them and they seem pretty good. tirerack i believe has a test with 712s, HRZIIs, and AVS ES100s. the 712s were last and the AVS ES100s were first i think.
dunlop Sp A2s- are not a high performance tire, they are stock replacement type tires.
