I'd definitely take a B18C1 over a B16B anyday. The B16B has only 4 more horsepower, and the B18C1 has almost 20 more foot pounds of torque and reaches its powerband much lower the the rpm. I is also usually cheaper than the B16B. I'd never buy anything Type R, unless I bought it through my old Acura dealership, because Honda Motor Co. doesn't care about the Type R name, but everyone else seems too.
